Cybersecurity Intern

enthusiastic Cybersecurity Intern to join our dynamic team for a semester. This is an exciting

Job Description:
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will work alongside our experienced cybersecurity professionals to assist
in monitoring, securing, and defending our network and systems. You will gain hands-on experience in
evaluating / improving our security posture, identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents,
working with an external company on a pen test, leading a phishing campaign, and learning industry
best practices in threat management and risk mitigation.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate our edge firewall configuration and ensure documentation is accurate
  • Evaluate segmentation firewalls and ensure documentation is accurate
  • Continue with our roll out of segmentation firewalls to protect equipment
  • Perform a quarterly company-wide phishing campaign
  • Work with external company on pen test and lead effort to resolve any issues found
  • Identify critical vulnerabilities and lead effort to resolve them
  • Become familiar with our Darktrace security appliance implementation and classify threats
  • Become familiar with Netwrix Auditor and help with company-wide rollout
  • Perform daily checks for security issues
  • Research, suggest, and develop tools for security monitoring
  • Develop filtering for our main security systems to help pinpoint critical issues faster
  • Follow all SOPs, safety and health guidelines, and cGMP guidelines

Qualifications:

  • Must be Junior or Senior level in a Computer Science Degree program with an emphasis in
    Cybersecurity
  • Requires completed coursework in the Cybersecurity field
  • Requires moderate knowledge of Cybersecurity
  • Ability to establish priorities and meet quality expectations in a professional manner with
    minimal supervision
